Making a Difference in Denver and around the
World!
How does the Denver International Program make a difference
in Denver and around the world?
In
the Metro Denver Area…
These international leaders contribute expertise,
knowledge, and friendship to our local community. They provide
professional expertise and assistance to the many social service
agencies, nonprofits, businesses, governmental agencies, and other
institutions where they work and train – sometimes with
little or no compensation.
In addition cultural exchange with local families,
schools, and workplaces provides a valuable perspective on the
world -- often resulting in international community partnerships,
new trade opportunities, additional exchanges, and long-term friendships.
Our community is enriched!
Participants from around the world touch and change
the lives of many during their stays in the Metro Denver Area …
- Students in schools around the Denver area benefit
from educational presentations provided by the Denver International
Program participants. Hundreds of children in dozens of schools
have heard first-hand reports about countries around the world.
- Free Fireside Evenings
allow the community to learn about the participants’ countries.
- Local employers often gain as much from the international
professionals they mentor as the trainees gain from them. Finding
out how systems work in other countries generates new ideas about
our own.
- Trainees donate hundreds of hours of their professional
expertise and time to local nonprofits and social service agencies.

Around the world…
We help leaders from other countries obtain
skills and experience to enhance their professions and improve conditions
in their home communities. Many of the trainees in our program come
from developing countries with great social and economic needs.
The mid-career training they receive in the U.S. helps them better
serve their countries when they return. Click here
